The video analyst's role — definition and how the function has evolved

Working contexts — club, national team, academy, amateur or professional

The analyst's missions before, during and after the fixture

Working with head coaches, technical staff and players

Ethics — confidentiality, objectivity, respect for data and image rights

Professional communication — posture, listening, passing on information, teamwork

Module 2 · Kit & filming

The kit — cameras, tripods, laptops, batteries, accessories and software

Choosing the right kit for your needs and level

Filming principles — image quality, stability, framing, reading the game

Camera angles — sideline, elevated, behind the goal, stand — and when to use each

Matchday logistics — set-up, file management, backup and video filing

Module 3 · Analysis methodology

Setting the objectives of the analysis around the staff's needs

Building a fit-for-purpose observation grid

Selecting the right performance indicators — technical, tactical, physical, behavioural

Individual analysis — strengths, areas to improve, tracking a player

Team analysis — shape, principles of play, attacking and defensive phases

Opposition analysis — strengths, weaknesses, habits and tendencies

Ranking the information to produce a clear, usable summary

Who is this course for?

Coaches, aspiring analysts, players and enthusiasts who want to understand video-analysis work as it is done in a professional club. No technical prerequisites.

What is the format and pace?

6 weeks fully online, in French. Live sessions with replay available — you progress at your own pace between sessions.

How much is the course and how do I book?

€1,490. An FSE advisor reviews your application before payment to make sure the course fits your project — checkout opens afterwards.

Will I get a diploma?

No. This course awards an FSE attendance certificate, not a certifying diploma. It gives you a concrete method and a finished piece of analysis to show, not an official qualification.
